So, a few people have mentioned to me here and there over the years that it would be great to be able to change the sound of the metronome in Live to something else of their choice. Until recently I thought that the in-built click sound was the only option that we would ever have, however after reading around a little bit I discovered that this can be changed, and here is how you can do it.

For this tutorial I’m going to be using a Mac, however you can still apply the same idea on Windows operating systems, although it’s up to you to find where the metronome samples are (by the way if you do, could you comment that location on this post so other Windows users can benefit from that).

So personally I like to use the Klopfgeist clicks from Logic, so I’ve uploaded them here. If anyone else has some really nice click sounds, post them in the comments below. I’m definitely interested to have a few click sounds to choose from.
